ABOUT OUR PRODUCTS

  • Most of our products are made-to-order, which means that you have to reach out to us directly to purchase. That’s why we ask you to enquire about the product you’re interested in!

  • All of our wallcoverings are designed and printed in-house at our production studio in downtown St. John’s, Newfoundland and Labrador. Our ceramic wall tile is produced at a ceramics studio in Twilingate, and our artworks are sourced from a variety of Canadian artists.

  • We highly recommend smooth wall surfaces for installation! If your wall is rough, bumpy, or newly-painted, the product might not fully adhere to the surface. We provide detailed installation instructions with our wallcoverings, and we highly recommend using a professional installer for our wallcoverings.

  • Our 2×8” ceramic tiles are suitable for wall application.

  • All of our wallcoverings are printed on PVC-free substrates that use post-consumer recycled materials and water-based inks.

  • Every screen is different, and product images may differ from the actual product. We can’t guarantee that the displayed image perfectly matches the wallpaper's exact colour. To ensure colour accuracy, we recommend ordering a sample of your chosen wallpaper before purchasing multiple rolls.

  • It may be possible to customize the sizing of our products, but not always. We recommend reaching out with specific enquiries.

ORDER INFORMATION

  • Once you’ve placed an order, you will receive a confirmation email. Your credit card will be charged once you receive your confirmation email and pay for your product. Your order then enters our production and shipping queue.

  • We use a reliable, PCI-compliant payment processor to ensure that your credit card information is secure. For additional information, please read our Terms and Conditions.

  • We accept almost all forms of credit cards including Visa, Mastercard, Amex, Discover, and Diners Club. We are also happy to offer payment options like PayPal and Interac E-Transfer.

  • We only charge taxes within Canada. GST/HST will be applied to all Canadian orders.

  • Second Empire Surfaces will not be responsible for any duty or tax charges incurred upon international orders. There should be no extra duties or customs to orders made from Canada. 

    Duties and taxes are determined by the customs agency of the designated delivery country and although they are not always incurred, they will be the responsibility of the recipient. 

SHIPPING & DELIVERY TIMES

  • Though we’re based in Canada, we ship internationally.

    Delivery times may vary based on order volumes. Each wallcovering and tile is made-to-order in small batches.

  • Lead times can vary from immediate dispatch for in-stock items to an 8 - 12 week made-to-order lead time, and 12 weeks for custom items. Lead times will be advised at the point of order confirmation and confirmed two weeks before completion.  

    Second Empire Surfaces cannot guarantee shipping times due to delays caused by customs, holidays, or events outside of our control. Please allow a couple days for your tracking to update before contacting us.  

  • You will receive an email from us once your order has shipped. This email will also include a tracking number so you can track the progress of your shipment. 

  • Yes, products from a single order will be shipped at the same time – however, separate shipping tubes may be used to ensure product integrity.
